CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo. — A crash on U.S. Highway 60 one mile west of Billings killed a 61-year-old from Republic Friday morning.
According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at around 7 a.m., a 2018 GMC Sierra pickup truck was backing into a driveway in the wrong direction on U.S. 60. A 2024 Subaru Crosstrek SUV failed to observe the pickup and struck the vehicle head-on, the crash report states.
The driver of the SUV was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, where he was later pronounced dead at around 8:14 a.m…
