Man booked into jail in Jefferson County dies from ‘progressive illness’ at hospital

DENVER (KDVR) — A man booked into jail in Jefferson County last month died in custody at the hospital on Thursday, following an illness.

The man, identified as Timothy Allen Browne, 58, was booked into the Jefferson County Detention Facility for drug charges on Nov. 19, and was hospitalized for an “ongoing progressive illness” on Nov. 24, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

JCSO said an investigation into Browne’s death is being conducted and that the coroner’s office will confirm the cause of the death “in the coming days.”…
