Kona man arrested for alleged robbery, stabbing in two separate assaults

HONOLULU (KHON) — Hawaii Island police arrested and charged a Kona man following separate robbery and assault incidents on Dec. 1.

Andrew Green, 40, is accused of two violent incidents.

Man, 34, hospitalized after apparent stabbing on Keeaumoku Street

Around 2 a.m. on Sarona Road, Green allegedly entered the lobby of a hotel holding a four-foot pipe.

Kona Patrol officers reported he jumped over the counter, swung the pipe twice at a 67-year-old victim and stole his backpack…
