Tom Hillen’s seizure serves as call to action to learn CPR

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — It was a scare that sent a shockwave through the halls of WOOD TV8 in mid-November: Tom Hillen suffered a seizure in his office and stopped breathing.

Fresh off of our CPR training here at the station, co-workers jumped into action and were able to get Tom breathing again. He soon recovered and is back to work.

“I can’t understate how scary it was, but … it opens your eyes to the great community you have around you, what good co-workers you have,” Tom said.
