Veteran with disability rallies behind wheelchair-bound child who was harassed at bus stop

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Sirus Miklos, a seven-year-old boy born with spinal muscular atrophy, has had to deal with bullying for the last few months, but by his peers at school. For weeks, impatient drivers have been harassing, yelling, and honking at the child, who uses a wheelchair, while he gets on and off of his school bus each day.

As CBS 21 reported in October, Sirus takes a special bus designed for students with disabilities. Sharing his story resulted in millions of views on social media and hopes that bringing awareness would stop the bullying. Not only did the story change things at the bus stop for the Miklos family, it changed their lives forever.
