Hidden fees and sky-high bills: Towing company accused of predatory practices

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An alleged towing scam reported by people across Middle Tennessee is now under investigation by the state attorney general.

A complaint accuses Priority Wrecker Service of a bait-and-switch, by quoting one price and then charging more — sometimes thousands more. The attorney general’s office is now asking for full refunds to be issued.

The victims claim a dispatcher gave them a price estimate upfront, but that once their tow or roadside service was done, the company would allegedly increase the final cost.
