FLORIDA — East Ridge High School was placed on lockdown Friday morning after a gun was discovered on campus, according to school officials.
In a voice message sent to parents, Lake County Schools said staff became aware of a firearm on school grounds and were able to secure the weapon. The gun was found inside a metal lockbox, officials said.
As a precaution, the school was immediately placed on lockdown while law enforcement responded to the campus. Officers remain on site as they continue their investigation…
