“Ignored by Publix near OTOW and to the frustration of both disabled and golf cart drivers, there are not only insufficient handicapped parking spaces, but also no control by Publix over cars parking in “golf cart” spaces. This area is 80% senior retirees who need closer access to the store than most people do. It is very unfortunate that Publix fails to address this by increasing handicapped spaces and stopping cars from parking in golf cart spots. “I will park my car right over top of one of them golf carts only parking spots and there’s nothing they can do about it. The police department can’t even write a ticket in the parking lot because it’s private property when you get in a wreck in the parking lot. Get a grip Ocala, if you’re too lazy to drive your car to the store then have your stuff delivered. It’s getting completely out of hand. Ocala is not busy enough with traffic, now you’re going to stick golf carts in the mix and now we got to pay somebody to print out a new map for golf carts are allowed. Come on people, wake up.
