Marion County health officials issue rabies alert after infected coyote captured

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Florida Department of Health officials have issued a rabies alert after an infected coyote was captured in Southwest Marion County this week.

Officials found the rabid animal in the area of Southwest 49th Avenue Road and 103rd Street Road on Wednesday.
