The 2025 Mission Joy Toy Drive, organized by Arlington ISD, aims to support local children and families in need. This annual event, now in its second year of partnership with Mission Arlington, collected donations at schools, fire stations, businesses, and city offices in Arlington, Texas. The drive ended with an event at the Dr. Marcelo Cavazos Center for Visual and Performing Arts, which included performances by student groups and an appearance by Santa and his elf. The donated toys will be given to the Mission Arlington Christmas store. Families can select gifts for their children at no cost. Tillie Burgin, director of Mission Arlington, said filling the store’s shelves is important for families during the holiday season. She noted that the effort is focused on supporting the community.
