The Weld County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at a residence in the 4200 block of Grand Teton Road early on Wednesday morning. WCSO deputies responded to the scene at 1:21 a.m. after receiving a call, and spoke with the reporter, who was involved in the shooting. The victim described a long-standing feud with his neighbor, who is a suspect in the investigation and also the deceased individual.
The suspect allegedly kicked down the door of the victim’s residence and entered the home with an object in his hand. The two men struggled before the resident shot the suspect. After being transported to the hospital, the suspect was pronounced deceased.
