The first class of Cherokee County School District finalists has been named for a new program focused on developing future entrepreneurs.
Georgia FLEX (Foundational Leadership and Entrepreneurial eXperience) is a statewide initiative, new to Cherokee County this school year through a partnership between the school district, Cherokee Office of Economic Development, and local businesses and industries.
Through the program, high school students, individually or as teams, pitch ideas to launch real businesses. Ten finalist companies selected based on their business plans then launch their concepts with the support of teacher advisors from their school, mentors from local businesses, and seed money from the program…
