Some local police officers haven’t touched their razors in over a month, and in doing so, they raised more than $2,000 for a local nonprofit.
Wesleyville, Lawrence Park, and North East police officers let the facial hair grow for No Shave November last month, turning it into a donation drive for Emma’s Footprints.
St. Paul’s hosting free winter clothing distribution event
Friday, police officers and staff at Emma’s Footprints gathered at the Wesleyville Police Department for a check presentation, with the officers raising nearly $2,400 for the organization.
“It’s good for these guys here too, to give back to the community and show that we’re just regular guys too and want to give back and just help, and it’s a great cause,” said Robert Buzanowski, Chief of the Wesleyville Borough Police Department.
