DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — As the Miami Valley advances towards colder temperatures, kids will likely want to go outside to play.
Abbey Pettiford, injury prevention outreach supervisor at Dayton Children’s, recommends that parents allow their children to go outside to play in a responsible manner. Having kids wear multiple layers with winter accessories like gloves, hats and scarves can really help kids be safe in the cold.
“We want kids to go out and enjoy the snow and the cold,” Pettiford said. “However, when it does get really cold, we want to make sure they’re bundled up properly.”…
