JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – Kentucky is on pace for its safest year on the roads in more than a decade.
With 26 days left in the year, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports 608 people have died in roadway collisions. Previous data shows that’s the lowest death toll at this point in any year since at least 2000.
The past decade has seen deaths mostly in the 700s. The record now is 638 deaths in 2013…
