East Tennessee school districts delay start due to weather threat

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Multiple school districts across East Tennessee have delayed the start of classes on Friday with some scattered overnight showers and the potential for a light wintry mix near the Tennessee-Kentucky border.

With Campbell County more susceptible to winter weather due to higher elevations across, road crews have been preparing for the potential of slick roads as temperatures fall overnight.
