EL CAJON, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — If you heard fire engines racing through East County on Tuesday, it wasn’t an emergency — it was a holiday mission aimed at bringing joy to hundreds of local children.
El Cajon Fire Station 6 was buzzing with excitement as firefighters and volunteers sorted piles of toys and brand-new clothing purchased with nearly $5,000 raised during a boot drive organized by students from Steele Canyon and Monte Vista high schools.
