GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – St. John’s Ministry invited community members on Saturday to participate in a poverty simulation that included numerous activities.

From filling out job applications, attending school and making ends meet, the simulation was designed to show participants how low-income families get by.
The need for the event grew through the years, and St. John’s Mission Integration Coordinator Lydia Davison says she felt it was the right time to educate everyone on poverty.
“Maybe you don’t have a job, maybe your rent is due and you’re short,” Davison said. “We are thrilled about hosting community members and hopefully giving people a chance to think and gain some insight on the impossible choices people in poverty face.”…
