US.- Staff at Illinois’ Hard Rock Casino Rockford have voted against joining the United Auto Workers (UAW) union. Of the 184 eligible voters, 128 voted, with 90 against joining. Voters included full-time and regular part-time workers at the casino, which opened in August 2024.
President of UAW Local 1268 Matt Frantzen said in a Facebook post: “I want to thank everyone that came out to support these workers. I’d also like to thank the workers from the casino that reached out to us to help support them in their effort. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work out.”…
