Boeing celebrates 30th anniversary of St. Louis-built Super Hornet’s first flight

ST. LOUIS — One of the Navy’s most important fighter aircrafts has deep roots in St. Louis.

The first F/A -18E Super Hornet was built a few miles away from Lambert Airport, where it took its first flight 30 years ago.
