WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The annual Lady Guadalupe parade and inaugural La Rosa 3K race were hosted in downtown Wichita Saturday morning.
The Kansas Hispanic Education and Development Foundation hosted the inaugural 3K race to raise money for students’ postsecondary education.
“We help them starting in high school with scholarships for college, and during college, and also to be able to obtain their jobs,” Executive Director Pablo Cruz said. “We’re talking an impact of 8-10 years that our foundation helps students with, so we’re really proud ’cause this was our first time doing a 3K event,”
