Residential water returns in small community northwest of Lyons, but water quality concerns remain

Water had returned to all homes in the small mountain community of Pinewood Springs as of mid-day Thursday, days after 19 homes lost running water when a temporary water line, in place amid ongoing construction, froze when temperatures dipped to 10 degrees on Sunday.

While residents once again have water, the community has been left feeling frustrated by the incident. Some have expressed concerns that the line will freeze again. Others are concerned about water quality.
