PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police say a suspect has been arrested in connection with two murders and a drive-by shooting that happened in the same north Phoenix area over an 18-day period.
Adalberto Pablo Cordova Torres, 21, is being held on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of discharging a firearm at a residence in connection with the crimes that happened last month.
Around 3:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, police were called to a shooting outside a strip mall near 19th Avenue and Greenway Road. They found a man dead at the scene, who was later identified as 45-year-old Marcus Adams.
Then, shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, Phoenix police were called to check on an injured person at a strip mall near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road — a mile south of the previous homicide.
