CARSON CITY, Nev. — Authorities are investigating human remains discovered on December 5, 2025, along the Carson River, near Trainwreck Rapids in Brunswick Canyon.
Carson City Park Rangers secured the area after the discovery, allowing Sheriff’s Detectives and Carson City Search and Rescue to work through December 6th to recover multiple pieces of remains, clothing and other artifacts.
Investigators say items found at the scene indicate the remains may belong to Robert Lawson White, a kayaker who disappeared in June 2023, while boating on the Carson River. White vanished the same day as fellow kayaker James Martin, whose body was recovered later that summer…
