Highway 395 was shut down for most of Saturday after a violent confrontation that occurred on the southbound side of the divided highway near the bug station left two people dead.
According to the Quincy office of the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved two vehicles, each occupied by multiple individuals, all residents of Reno. Both vehicles had pulled to the right shoulder, where a confrontation ensued.
