TriMet passenger accused of threatening security with pocketknife

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man is in custody after he refused to get off a TriMet train and threatened a security officer with a pocketknife, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

Nashawn Brown, 45, faces charges of menacing, interfering with public transit, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Job postings hint at possible ICE detention center in Portland

TriMet Customer Safety Supervisors responded to the Goose Hollow Transit Station around 9:45 p.m. and told Brown he was in violation of the agency’s rules. It is not clear what happened before their arrival.
