Early yesterday morning, an incident descended into violence in downtown Boston, resulting in a man suffering significant injuries. Officers were called to the corner of Warrenton Street and Seaver Place at about 2:16 a.m., responding to reports of an individual brandishing a knife, WCVB reports.
Upon arriving, however, Boston police discovered the scene’s chaotic nature, with multiple events unfolding simultaneously. While investigating the knife report, officers located a man on Tremont Street, who was subsequently hospitalized with a serious head wound, according to Boston 25 News. While being taken into custody based on the initial description provided by the 911 caller, a man was detained.
The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital and is said to be in stable condition now. BPD officials clarified that despite the initial call involving a knife, the man’s injury did not stem from a stabbing.
