SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Spartanburg Police Department charged a man with assualting his wife on Saturday.
Police arrived at a home on Boxwood Lane after 3:50 p.m. and spoke with a woman who said her husband, 68-year-old Michael Disantos, was intoxicated and had threatened her after she smoked his last cigarette. She reported that he was angry because she wanted him to go to a rehab facility, and that he had tried to hit her but missed, likely due to past strokes.
According to a report, Disantos denied threatening or trying to hit his wife. They explained he was angry with her for drinking his alcohol and using his cigarettes, and denying him access to either. Police said that Disantos tried to stand several times but was unable, either from alcohol or past strokes…
