VENICE — A case coordinator with the Child Protection Team at the Child Protection Center has been awarded a civilian citation by the Venice Police Department for her role in a child abuse investigation and prosecution.
In July 2024, the North Port Police Department received a report from the Department of Children and Families alleging sexual abuse of a juvenile by her biological father, a news release states. Alexis Davis was assigned to conduct a forensic interview.
