Pensacola State is one of 28 public colleges in the Florida College System, which proudly enrolls half of all students in Florida public higher education. In addition to offering students affordable and accessible pathways to baccalaureate degrees, Florida College System institutions are often regarded as the workforce engine for the state.

For more than 17 and a half years, I have been honored to congratulate and present diplomas to thousands of graduates. These graduates are the alumni who build and maintain our homes; prepare and serve our food in restaurants; care for and nurture our preschoolers; provide medical and emergency care; prepare our taxes; analyze our computer data for threats and maintain and secure our computer networks; provide beauty services that enhance our hair, nails, and skin; hire PSC graduates into local businesses and industries, and much more. PSC graduates are the fabric of the Escambia and Santa Rosa County communities and the surrounding region.

PSC’s enrollment for the last year surpassed 13,000 unduplicated students, including almost 5,000 students enrolled in workforce training programs, our highest enrollment in 15 years, and nearly 2,000 students enrolled in non-credit courses. This fall semester (representing half of the academic year), we have over 10,500 students enrolled in credit-seeking programs…
