The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and Stuart Police acted quickly Friday night after spotting a suspicious man following U.S. Congressman Brian Mast during the Stuart Christmas Parade.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, members of Congressman Mast’s team and MCSO command staff noticed the man’s behavior as he moved along the parade route. Officials say he kept his hat pulled low over his face and wore layered clothing, including a long-sleeve shirt and a jacket, despite warm temperatures. His appearance and actions raised immediate concern.
