Berthoud Habitat for Humanity and the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC) are celebrating a milestone collaboration as CCIC Construction 2 students have completed their first full modular home for the Berthoud Habitat affiliate. The home was craned onto its permanent foundation, providing a new, affordable homeownership opportunity for a future Berthoud Habitat partner family while showcasing how education and community partnerships can help address the growing housing needs in Colorado.
Built by students under professional instruction, the home features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,200 square feet of efficient, high-quality design. Students completed real-world construction tasks, including framing, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC installation, finishes, cabinetry and furnishings, applying their classroom learning to a project that will make a lasting impact for a future family.
The CCIC home is the 26th and final home in Berthoud Habitat for Humanity’s 4th Street subdivision, marking the completion of an effort that began 25 years ago.
