20-year-old accused of killing his father in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A 20-year-old man is facing a murder charge after being accused of shooting and killing his father on Sunday night, according to the Greensboro Police Department.

At around 7:34 p.m. on Sunday, emergency personnel came to the 700 block of West Terrell Street and found 59-year-old Chris Ratliff unresponsive inside a home suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

The victim’s son, 20-year-old Pretance Joquann Ratliff, was identified as the suspect in his father’s killing and taken into custody at the scene without incident. He is being held without bond…
