KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The average price of gas in Tennessee fell to $2.564, said AAA – The Auto Club Group.

“Tennessee drivers continue to see prices drop at the pump,” said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman for AAA. “Barring any major changes in the overall market, this trend is likely to continue through the end of the year thanks to weaker demand and lower crude oil prices.”

In Knoxville, gas is slightly cheaper than Tennessee’s average at $2.544. For Tennessee, gas is cheapest in Clarksville, Chattanooga and Cleveland but most expensive in Jackson, Memphis and Nashville, AAA said.
