Protestors ask Tennessee governor to pray with man facing death penalty

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Tennessee is set to execute a man who confessed to rapes and a murder, but a group protesting against the death penalty is acting ahead of the lethal injection scheduled for Thursday.

Harold Nichols was sentenced to the death penalty in 1990 for raping and murdering 20-year-old Chattanooga State student Karen Pulley. Pulley’s death led investigators to link Nichols to other rapes, which he confessed to.

“March4Mercy” is a group opposed to the death penalty, asking Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee to pray with Nichols before he is executed…
