The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Sunday for the 27th consecutive day, decreasing a half-cent to $4.654.
The average price has dropped 29 cents over the past 27 days, including 1.6 cents Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. The streak began one day after the end of an 11-day streak of increases totaling 24.8 cents that boosted the average price to its highest amount since June 6, 2024.
The average price is 8.4 cents less than one week ago and 27.6 cents less than one month ago, but 15.8 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.78 since rising to a record $6.434 on Oct. 5, 2022…
