Monroe County urges vaccinations as flu cases increase

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — As Monroe County continues to see increases in flu cases, health officials are urging residents to get vaccinated.

County Health Commissioner Dr Marielana Velez de Brown is reminding residents of a new strain of Influenza A. She is encouraging residents to continue staying up-to-date on vaccinations, particularly COVID-19, flu, and RSV.

“Getting vaccinated now remains one of the strongest tools we have for preventing severe illness, reducing hospitaliations, and keeping families healthy through the winter,” Dr. Velez de Brown said…
