NORTHBOROUGH – A starving dog was located in a Northborough residence.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 20, officers were dispatched to the area of West Main Street and Westbrook Road after neighbors reported a dog that sounded in distress. When officers arrived, they heard the dog’s “loud, repetitive whining and yelping.”
Officers discovered a white female husky. The dog was sticking its head out of a small pet door attached to the bottom of the basement door. The dog was allegedly fed a small portion of carrots and eggshells from a dirty, yellow-stained container. The canine was reportedly eating in a “fast and frantic manner” that indicated it had not been fed recently…
