A Republic man died Friday morning after a head-on collision on Highway 60 about one mile west of Billings in Christian County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol reported the crash occurred at 7:12 a.m. on December 5, 2025. A westbound 2018 GMC Sierra was improperly backing into a driveway while facing the wrong direction on Highway 60. A westbound 2024 Subaru Crosstrek did not see the Sierra in the roadway and hit it head-on.
The 61-year-old Subaru driver, who was using a seat belt, was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, where he was pronounced dead at 8:14 a.m. by Dr. Benjamin W. Fisher…
