(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — Warmer temperatures are on the way across Southern Colorado. We can expect above-average warmth for this time of year thanks to a building high-pressure system and some downsloping winds at the surface.
Highs today will reach the upper-40s in Colorado Springs and the low-50s in Pueblo. The warmer air will come with a bit of a trade-off, as winds gradually increase through the afternoon, leading to breezy conditions, especially as we head into Tuesday!
Sky-condition-wise, we’ll stay dry with plenty of sunshine across the region. Looking long-term, conditions remain warm and dry due to a persistent longwave trough over the eastern United States and a ridge building into the western portion of the country.
