Students in the area will get a four-day weekend with more snow in the forecast.
Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro public schools all announced that they will be closed Monday, Dec. 8. The school divisions were also closed Friday, Dec. 5 because of messy winter weather.
“With snow forecasted and temperatures remaining below freezing during the morning commute for students and staff, Staunton City Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, December 8, 2025,” Superintendent Eric Irizarry wrote in an email to families and students. “The snow is forecasted to coincide with our scheduled morning bus routes, which could affect the safety of student drivers and staff. Temperatures are not expected to be above freezing throughout the day.”…
