First Alert Weather Day Continues Tonight and Tuesday AM. Snow Tapers, Icy Conditions and Some Freezing Fog.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – *First Alert Weather Day* will continue into Tuesday morning. The latest snow is slowly exiting the region tonight. Additional snow accumulations half an inch to one and a half inches. Snow amounts Monday did vary from north to south across our area, with general amounts in and around the Interstate 64 corridor, two to over four inches. Many hazards tonight into Tuesday morning, as snow tapers off. Watch for plenty of icy conditions and some freezing fog. Some gradual clearing is expected overnight with temperatures falling into the frigid, low to mid 10s. Use extra caution with any travel and allow added time to reach your destination. Watch for icy conditions on roads, bridges, sidewalks and parking lots.
