LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Lexington’s month-long food drive collected 105,815 pounds of food and $6,000 in monetary donations for God’s Pantry Food Bank, city officials announced.
The donations are enough to provide 88,179 meals, according to the final tally from “Lexington’s Big Give” food drive.
“These are great results, however, I’m not surprised,” Mayor Linda Gorton said. “Lexington always comes through in a big way. Lexington gives and cares whenever we put out the call to help others.”…
