Shock in Southwest Miami-Dade, Double Homicide Investigated in Normally Peaceful Neighborhood

A Southwest Miami-Dade neighborhood is stunned after two people were killed. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two people—a man and a woman—were found dead from gunshot wounds in a house located at the 17000 block of Southwest 153rd Court, an area known for its tranquility, according to NBC6.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene yesterday afternoon after receiving a distressing call about a bleeding man. “The note just said the father was not responding, bloody with a hole in the neck. But doesn’t specify if it’s a [gunshot wound],” relayed a dispatcher to emergency responders, as indicated by CBS News Miami. At the residence, law enforcement found that both victims had succumbed to their injuries; Miami-Dade Fire Rescue declared them deceased at the scene.

Information about the incident remains sparse as the investigation continues. The possibility of a domestic dispute has not been ruled out.
