NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has been arrested on nearly 30 charges after he allegedly stole mail and cashed checks at local banks across Nashville.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a six month investigation from the department’s fraud unit resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Demonte Trammell.

Police said United States Postal Service investigators helped fraud unit detectives in identifying Trammell as the suspect accused of at least 10 incidents where he allegedly stole mail from USPS collection boxes, took checks and washed them to cash different amounts at local banks.
