PENSACOLA, Fla. — Dr. Patty Manhire was looking for a place that would give her something to do.
What she found was so special that she set about making sure the doors would be open to everyone for generations to come. Now, she has become an Angel In the Midst at First City Arts.
“I found this art place, which had just suffered from a major flood, and people from the community turned out to help clean up from the flooding,” First City Art Center Board Member and Patron Dr. Patty Manhire said. “I then got to see the glass blowing. I got to see ceramics, and I wanted to be a part of learning about that. It was just so interesting to watch, so I started signing up for the classes.”…
