Drivers who must brave the nightmare of driving to Manhattan during the worst gridlock alert days got a holiday gift from New York Gov. Kathy Hochul — no congestion pricing surcharge on top of the regular $9 E-ZPass toll.
Gov. Hochul plans to honor her 2024 pledge not to increase the congestion pricing fee by 25% on gridlock alert days, many of which are in December during the run-up to the Christmas holiday.
