Ohio man accidentally sent meth through tube at bank drive-thru: police

An Ohio man was arrested after authorities said he mistakenly sent a “baggie” of crystal meth through a tube at a bank drive-thru last week.

Jason G. Smith, 46, was cuffed on Dec. 3 after a swift investigation into an “unexpected ‘deposit’” he made at a bank in Woodsfield, Ohio, according to a press release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Smith “unknowingly” deposited “a baggie containing a crystal like substance consistent with methamphetamine” into the airtube during a simple transaction at the drive-thru bank, according to the sheriff’s office.
