A Brunswick County multi-million-dollar project slated to bring thousands of residents clean drinking water is delayed for another year.
Brunswick County officials approved an over $1 million contract extension associated with the Northwest Water Treatment Plant Expansion project. This is the seventh contract amendment made in an attempt to complete the project.
Following multiple delays, a rescinded civil complaint and disappointing updates, the county has given possibly the last final completion date for the long awaited Northwest Water Treatment Plant Expansion project.
