Air taxis to link WPB to Miami in minutes, leaving traffic in the dust

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Forget white-knuckling your way down I-95—Archer Aviation says the future of the South Florida commute could be a 10-to-20-minute flight above it.

Archer Aviation on Wednesday unveiled plans to launch a Miami-area air-taxi network designed to streamline travel across the rapidly growing metro.

The taxi aims to connect the four major cities of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach with 10-20 minute flights that bypass traffic in a “safe and efficient way,” according to Archer Aviation’s news release.

The network is also set to connect Miami International Airport (MIA), Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL), and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)…
